The MMIDG team utilizes the latest technologies available in the interior design industry to assist clients with visualizing designs. Gone are the days of relying solely on design boards.   3D Modeling, Rendering, Video Walk-Thru’s, and Virtual Reality, technologies take the design process to an entirely new level.

These digital techniques save time and money by assisting the client with visualization, finish selections and avoiding expensive construction mistakes. In addition, they enable the General Contractor to be quick, efficient, and cost effective with quoting and during construction and ensure the client gets the best possible end result.

After the client approves the 2D AutoCAD layout of the proposed design, MMIDG normally creates a 3D model of the space. This model empowers our designers to show exact selections and identify and troubleshoot any construction issues. This really helps clients visualize the finished design including structural elevations, doors, windows, cabinets, lighting, paint colors, furniture, fixtures and appliances. 3D Modeling provides a very precise representation of your new space (think un-edited 3D image). Browse examples of 3D models used in our interior design projects below.

The 3D model can be taken a step further and transformed into a 3D RENDERING of the proposed design. This introduces lighting and enhancements which create a highly realistic image of the finished design (think edited 3D image). Browse our gallery of projects below comparing BEFORE photo vs RENDERING vs AFTER photo.

The 3D models and 3D renderings are excellent tools in the interior design process, but it doesn’t stop there.  These elements can be made into a Video Walk-Thru (think watching a video tour). While not used for all projects, it is extremely helpful for full renovations or complex engagements. Browse our gallery of VIDEOS below.

Virtual Reality is next level, and involves using a VR headset to explore the finished design (think putting on a headset and entering the front door of your newly design space). This 3D simulated and fully immersive experience, enables the client to do a walk-thru tour, and get a 360-degree view of the entire proposed project.  Click image below or scan the QR code on your mobile device to experience this interior design Virtual Reality for yourself.
