Furniture Market has come and gone. We had a great time visiting our favorite showrooms, finding great new vendors, and previewing most recent trends in our industry. Although we had an incredibly busy week scouting out the showrooms to find the perfect pieces for multiple client’s projects, we were able to capture a few images to share with you all. These are only a few of the many spectacular products and showrooms at the market but we hope you enjoy this peak into the Fall Market of 2012.
The Phillips Collection never disappoints. Check out this sculptural work of art….that is actually a chair! And while they are not new, their seatbelt chairs are pretty famous now thanks to their featured role in the Hunger Games. We love them and they are actually very comfortable! They come in a myriad of colors and even leather!
Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth, Directional, and Carter Showroom
Next stop… The Tomlinson/Erwin-Lambeth, Directional, and Carter Showroom. One of our favorite showrooms for amazing upholstery and modern seating. They always have some incredibly fun and unique pieces and this market was no different. The seating on the left is a modern take on an ancient two person love seat. The French called it the “Tete-a-tete” (face to face) chair. We loved this one! Carter also showed this great sectional . The back cushions can be moved forward and backward, side to side, to adjust to the setting and group of people using it. The best part is, they don’t slide or slip!
Pearson Showroom
Pearson, one of our favorites, was full of amazing pieces. Pearson manufactures both their upholstery and case good pieces and are made right here in NC. Their showroom changed it up this market using bold, bright colors on the interior walls and their upholstery showcased mainly muted, toned down, simplistic fabrics.
Global Views Showroom
Global Views was an explosion of energy. Pattern, Color, Texture, Lighting, and even sound were all huge elements that no passerby could miss. Their designs are so funky and cool. Offering everything from tables to lighting and accessories, they go over the top to deliver style and fun. We found tons of great pieces we hope to use soon.
We wish we would have had time to document every last detail we experienced during market this fall but it was one of our busiest in years! We hope this holds you over until the Spring, because the next one will be here before you know it!
