We recently completed a renovation project. Walls were removed, spaces were opened. Furnishings, color, accessories completed the drama with contrast to enliven the space. And, as always, a few stripes were added! Here are just a few views.
We love color here at Marta Mitchell Interiors. I thought it would be fun to start a new blog series, focusing on a different hue and it’s presence in a sequence of spaces. So here is the first of many posts, and to start us off, the color orange.
Sometimes it is easy to get stuck in a rut. You walk into a furniture store, see a set you like, by the whole package, bring it home, set it up, and it looks… well, expected. While that set made it easy to get in and out, its not the look you were going for. As designers, instead of getting everything to “match”, we look for an opportunity to create a custom and unique setting, built with elements in various styles, textures, and colors that work together .
